  • Commercial Application of Mezzanine Stairs

A Builder needed to gain access to a mezzanine level, above the newly fitted out office and kitchen area that he was working on in this commercial storage warehouse in Melbourne.

The stairs had to be commercially compliant, which wasn't an issue with our standard 250mm wide treads and our reeded non slip nosing pattern. We tick all the box's in this commercial aspect of stair building, being  just another application that Prefab stairs specialize in.

Because the owners wanted hardwood stairs and it was an internal application, we were able to use the locally sourced and sustainable Vic Ash which isn't treated and was a lot cheaper than the same stairs in Merbau or Spotted Gum. The owner and the builder were extremely happy with the friendly team at Prefab stairs and the finished product and price.

  • Custom Residential Installation In Emerald - South Gippsland

Prefab Stairs also supply multi tread stairs up to 4.5 metres in height. On a recent client installation in Emerald the client required a solution to a heavily sloping block that presented challenges for a regular external staircase. After reviewing the site plans, we came up with a workable solution utilising treated pine stairs stained with Merbau decking oil.

One of the biggest challenges here was finding points on the altered shipping container to get good fixing to. The sloping site also created some obstacles as to what the best possible way to position the stair and landing on the site should be. After some deliberation by our qualified staff this option we come up with was the most user friendly and pleasing to the clients.

Prefab Stairs can come up with solutions for any circumstances. Altered shipping containers are becoming very popular alternative building product, which we are dealing with more and more these days. Our company will find a way to make any problems that you may come up against achievable . Commercial or domestic we can supply a stair to suit everybody's needs.
